I love the difference of «reading» a piece, the way people interpret the visual image. That’s why I’m so into asemic writing and asemic drawing.
I do the first half, making the image, and the rest is on viewer, how he/she will get it, what will be seen and interpreted.
I draw with black and white gel pens, sometimes with colour pens/brush-pens. Sometimes I digitise-vectorize my works, in case I need to print it.
I like the simplicity of lines and shapes but also the depth of levels, dimensions and layers.
So, here is the first piece,
I love this piece because the completion involved a lot more work and action than before. Firstly, I covered the canvas with Indian ink in three coloured layers: black, green and blue. I wanted to create a good background depicting the night or deep underwater world or maybe the dark-side of consciousness.
I had a great space for white ink, I chose to make a maze or maybe town or maybe urban memories.
I prefer not to name my works, letting the viewer define what it is.I would like the viewer to become a guest of this place, which is built with his own memories, thoughts and dreams. I spent three or four evenings (or maybe 8 hours in total) on this piece.
