Ken the Humanoid

April 12, 2018

I originally met Kenneth when he was going by the name REDHEADKEN which, for reasons unknown to me would make me think of Street Fighter.

He recently changed his Instagram page, wanting to start anew due to feeling his style and vibe had changed. I admire this about him as an artist, he recognised that his style is evolving and chose to evolve with it, with that kind of attitude it's evident that he is going to go far.

I respect his commitment to his growth, its a testament to his work.

“The switch would be sort of a social media ego death where I’d have to let it all go to see what would come to me next.”

As we all know, social media can really play games with your head as an artist, monitoring likes, follows, unfollows,  it can drive you insane.

By choosing to change his social media account and, to be clear he didn’t simply change the name of his account, he created a brand new one!

He showed that his growth as an artist is not determined by such things. Instead he is more concerned with,

“Creating content that is going to attract an audience that will support you. It’s difficult trying to maintain a certain level or deciding to switch up on people hoping they’ll still appreciate your work.  I’ll just keep doing me and my vibe will attract my tribe.

When you take a moment to fully allow yourself to be immersed in his work, you start to wonder if  his body is being taken over by another life force, full of symbols and codes waiting to be decrypted.

“I’m just tapping into the deepest parts of myself I can reach. Exploration of my mind and the energies that move through my body and nature helps to  give me inspiration.”

So, what does Kenneth have in mind for the future,

I would love to work with other artists, especially DJ's, where I could help design visuals and album covers.

We all want the same thing, so same team all the way. Designing a stage for a festival and working with people on synchronised visuals with some rad electronic artists would be my dream project!

To my fellow artists, if you are wanting to collaborate drop or find out more about his style, drop him a line via his Instagram page.
